All About Liam
I started work in the travel industry as an apprentice when I left school in 2005 and completed my Level 2 and 3 in Travel and Tourism, and am now the Deputy Manager for Miles Morgan Travel’s Taunton branch, a role I enjoy very much! I have a wealth of UK retail and overseas travel experience, including a wide range of summer, winter sports and cruise seasons, and I’ve gained some fantastic experiences during this time in the industry that I love to share with customers. I believe travelling to new destinations, exploring different cultures or having the ultimate holiday experience is important for everyone. I enjoy helping to plan customers’ adventures, whether it’s a week in the sun or a holiday of a lifetime.
Having visited many destinations around the world I have many favourites, but the French Riviera always stands out to me as a must-visit destination. I lived onboard P&O’s Oceana for some time, and always looked forward to its sunny beaches. Close to home, it’s easily accessible by flight, road trip, cruise or even by rail! The temperature is perfect during the summer months, and there are numerous places to visit with fantastic culture and history. It’s more than possible to treat yourself to a morning coffee and croissant overlooking the harbour of Antibes, before travelling along the coastline to experience the luxurious lifestyle of Monaco in the afternoon and driving around the infamous Grand Prix track. The food across the Côte d'Azur is outstanding, as you’d expect in France, and dining alfresco, for me, always adds that extra bit of glamour. Getting around is always easy too, with the very efficient transport systems. This place is highly addictive and makes me want to go back year after year.
Since working for Miles Morgan Travel, I’ve had the privilege of many fantastic trips, such as sailing around the Caribbean on a tall ship, river-cruising down the Rhine and walking the Path of Gods in Italy. We’re lucky to work alongside some fantastic tour operators, and I love the flexibility of working for an independent agency with these at my fingertips. Fulfilling dream ideas for customers is so rewarding, and to hear amazing travel stories from across the continents of the world makes me smile every day.
No matter where’s next on your travel bucket list, pop into store for a hot drink and a chat or get in touch for some inspiration. I’d love to make your dreams come true.
