I felt incredibly fortunate to be able to visit the stunning island of Sardinia for an amazing journey. Our night at the London Gatwick Premier Inn was wonderful, which was perfect as we had an early morning ahead of us. We grabbed a speedy coffee before hopping on an easyJet flight to Cagliari in the South of Sardinia. The flight only took 2 hours and 35 minutes. Upon our arrival, we were provided with unique documentation for our Classic Collection travel experience. We were then escorted by a fleet of private transfers to the breathtaking Forte Village hotel in Sardinia. The journey from the airport to the hotel lasted only 40 minutes.
Forte Village is nestled within 50 hectares of beautiful gardens, with colourful bougainvillea, tall palm trees, and fragrant Mediterranean plants. The resort's ideal position by the coast allows guests to enjoy direct access to white sandy beaches and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. The private beach is perfect for sunbathing and water activities like swimming, snorkelling, and sailing.
The hotel arranged for us to be transported in fancy golf buggies from the main entrance to the charming, Hotel Castello, where we enjoyed welcome drinks. We were able to immediately check into our rooms, which was a definite bonus. Forte Village offers a wide range of accommodations to suit every preference and requirement. Whether you desire the seclusion of a villa, the convenience of a beachfront bungalow, or the luxury of a five-star hotel suite, the resort has it all. Each option is thoughtfully designed to combine comfort and style, with modern amenities, spacious interiors, and private terraces or balconies that provide stunning views of the sea or gardens.
We quickly dropped off our bags and made our way to the Pizzeria, where we found an incredible salad buffet and delicious homemade Italian pizza. It's the perfect place for families to enjoy a fabulous meal together. Following lunch, we embarked on a swift site inspection to observe the various room categories. The rooms offer a diverse selection, catering to different budgets and preferences, ensuring there is an option for everyone.
Before heading to a fantastic dinner at Le Dune, we had an hour before we were due for dinner so we stopped at the wine cellar and enjoyed a local Sardinian wine. At the restaurant, we enjoyed a delicious three-course seafood menu prepared by a renowned Michelin-star chef. Due to our early morning, we were feeling quite fatigued, leading us to retire early for the night.
Waking up to a stunning ocean vista, we made our way to Cavalieri for breakfast. The buffet spread was impressive, well-kept, and mouthwatering, accompanied by top-notch service. A delightful surprise awaited us as a pianist began playing live music, adding a charming touch to the atmosphere.
We had a satisfying breakfast before embarking on a unique adventure at the Acquaforte Spa Thalasso. This extraordinary spa boasted six distinct pools, each with varying levels of salt to provide a buoyant experience and nourish the skin. It was an entirely new experience for me and undoubtedly one of the highlights of the trip. For our next meal, we decided to grab a quick bite at the Pizzeria. This time, we opted for steak instead of our usual pizza, and it was absolutely delicious and flavourful.
We returned to the North of Forte Village after lunch, riding in the golf buggies to the impressive Go Kart track. The instructors were extremely helpful, preparing us for a Miles Morgan Grand Prix race reminiscent of Monaco. Feeling the thrill of racing, I ended up in first place on the podium, an absolutely fantastic experience! We wrapped up an incredible day packed with activities by visiting a charming Sardinian restaurant right on the premises. It offered a delightful selection of local dishes and authentic flavors, providing the perfect ending to our evening before enjoying live music at Piazza Luisa, where a massive stage of music awaited us.
The next day, we enjoyed another delicious breakfast before heading to the beautiful beach with crystal clear water and golden sand. The morning flew by quickly, and soon it was our turn to create our own pizza at the Pizzeria restaurant. It was a fun and interesting experience to see the ingredients used. We had a blast making plenty of pizzas before heading to the waterpark located on the premises. The waterpark features large slides and small slides suitable for all ages, including adults, making it a super fun experience for everyone. We grabbed a fast drink at the outdoor sports bar with a large TV screen displaying all the latest sports, then we went to The Brazilian restaurant for a tasty meat feast dinner. Later, some of us went to the nightclub to test out their unique dance moves before an early start the next day to the capital to visit the sister hotel Palazzo Doglio.
Located in the centre of the capital, Palazzo Doglio exudes a delightful urban vibe. With its range of rooms, it is the perfect choice for those looking to immerse themselves in the history and culture of the city. I highly suggest paying a visit either at the end of your trip or for a dedicated city getaway.
Conclusion:

Whether you’re looking to relax on pristine beaches, enjoy gourmet dining, partake in exciting activities, or simply soak in the natural beauty of Sardinia, Forte Village has something for everyone.
