All about Ruth

I started my career in travel in 2000, as a Travel Specialist in Bath, and went on to become a Branch Manager. 25 years later, and I’m delighted to be working as a Travel Specialist for Miles Morgan Travel. I still love the buzz I feel when my customers return from their holidays and share their amazing experiences and memories.

The most fabulous place I’ve travelled to must be the Maldives. It was the perfect honeymoon destination: beautiful, elegant and relaxing, with friendly staff and locals, lots to do and see. We lounged on the most idyllic white beaches I’ve ever seen; we snorkelled and swam with vibrant fish, baby sharks and mantras. My highlight was a daytrip on a yacht to a small desert island. It was just fantastic! I will never, ever forget it.

Ibiza is another of my favourite destinations. I’ve been five times and never tire of this stunning party island! It has loads to offer: the fabulous night life, of course, but the coastal areas are breath-taking and there are so many sights to see in each resort. There is also one of the largest Hippy Markets in Europe and an abundance of other great shopping opportunities. It’s such an exciting place to visit.

City breaks are another huge favourite of mine: I love Barcelona and Venice, but my all-time favourite would have to be Rome. There’s so much history, and the city is vibrant and buzzing with people. From the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain to the enormous Gucci, Prada and Dior stores, Rome has something to suit every holiday need.
