Introduction:
I have just returned from a trip to Marrakech, and here is why you should consider going there too. Over the course of six days, I have explored the city, taken day trips, and enjoyed some more relaxed experiences. It was a trip full of variety and unforgettable moments.
Day 1:
On my first day, I walked into the Medina to see the Koutoubia Mosque and just took in the surroundings of the bustling city. The colours, sounds, and energy were unlike anything I’ve experienced before, and it was the perfect way to ease into Marrakech.

Day 2:
On day two, I took a day trip to the Atlas Mountains. I hiked up to see the beautiful waterfall in the Ourika Valley and then enjoyed a traditional Moroccan lunch by the river. It was so nice to escape the city, take in the stunning countryside, and enjoy the cooler mountain temperatures. A completely different side of Morocco.

Day 3:
Day three started with an amazing sunrise hot air balloon ride. It was completely worth setting that early alarm to see the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains. After floating above the landscape, I enjoyed a breakfast provided in the desert; such a peaceful and unforgettable way to start the day. In the afternoon, I spent the rest of the day exploring the Medina and doing some souvenir shopping. I loved the atmosphere in the main square and the winding streets of the souks; it was lively, colourful, and such a unique experience.
Day 4:
On day four, I spent most of the day relaxing at the Oasiria-Amizmiz Waterpark. It has great attractions for both children and adults, and there’s food available on site. The park is set in a really pretty, green environment. Making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a slower, more relaxed day.

Day 5:
On day five, I did some more Medina exploring and shopping. There are so many streets and souks to wander through, and it is full of little surprises around every corner. In the afternoon, I visited the Bahia Palace, which was stunning. The intricate tiled ceilings, beautiful courtyards, and traditional architecture made it such a peaceful and impressive spot to explore after the busy Medina.

Day 6:
I finished the trip off with a visit to Le Jardin Secret in the morning. It is a beautiful old riad turned into a garden, with plants from every continent on display. It was peaceful and full of stunning details. In the afternoon, I took a trip out to the desert and enjoyed a camel ride and some quad biking. Later, we stopped in a beautiful area of the desert for dinner and watched a sunset fire show. A perfect way to end the trip.
