This short express tour has been designed for you to fly from your local airport (base price is based on London Gatwick - regional supplements detailed below where applicable) and make the most of the longest available one-night journey on board arguably the most famous train of all time - the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Travel back in time to the Golden Age of Rail Travel and then return to your preferred regional airport by air - or you can return from Amsterdam by Eurostar to London if you prefer.

Day 1 - Bristol > Venice

Depart UK on your flight to Venice where you will be met by a local transfer and taken to Piazza Roma, just a short walk from your hotel to spend the night close to the station.

Day 2 - From Venice onto the Venice Simplon-Orient Express

You will join the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for your sensational overnight journey - to step aboard is to step back in time. A 4-course lunch is served on board and in the evening be sure to dress to impress and savour culinary delights in the most elegant surroundings imaginable, while your steward converts your bijou cabin into cosy sleeping berths ready for you to settle in between your luxurious sheets and listen to the rhythmic “clickety-clack” of the vintage carriages as the train continues its voyage throughout the night.

Day 3 - Journey on Venice Simplon-Orient-Express into Amsterdam

A breakfast of fresh coffee, fruits, warm breads and pastries is served to your cabin at a time that suits you, leaving you time to wander the train before another delicious lunch - there are also afternoon pastries! By the time you reach Amsterdam you may not even need to go out for dinner! You can also choose to extend your stay in Amsterdam (or Venice) which we tend to on request.

Day 4 - Amsterdam > Bristol

A transfer is included to take you to Amsterdam airport for your flight home.
