Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Halifax
Make your way to your hotel and meet your fellow travellers at a Welcome Reception.
Day 2: Halifax - Moncton
Explore the Bay of Fundy on the way to Moncton. En route, explore the Joggins Fossil Cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cruise the waters of Shediac Bay aboard a lobster boat before enjoying a lobster supper. Overnight in Moncton.
Day 3: Moncton - Saint John, NB
Visit the Hopewell Rocks on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. Travel through Fundy National Park and on to Saint John for a city tour before checking into your harbour front hotel for 2 nights.
Day 4: St. Andrews by-the-Sea
Enjoy a day trip to picturesque St. Andrews-by-the-Sea; after a Whale Watching cruise (weather permitting) the afternoon is free.
Day 5: Saint John - Digby, NS
Enjoy free time in Saint John this morning. Watch for whales as you cross the Bay of Fundy to arrive in Digby. Hotel: Digby Pines Resort.
Day 6: Digby - Halifax
Travel the lush Annapolis Valley and learn about the French Acadians, visit Grand Pre National Historic Site then visit a winery for a tour and tasting before arriving in Halifax.
Day 7: South Shore
Travel to the renowned Peggy’s Cove for breakfast then along the South Shore to the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg and take a walking tour to experience the preserved colonial settlements and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic.
Day 8: Halifax – Charlottetown
Travel to Prince Edward Island via the Confederation Bridge and learn about Mi’kmaq culture at the Glooscap Heritage Centre & Mi’kmaq Museum. Enjoy a traditional lobster supper before checking into your hotel for 2 nights.
Day 9: Prince Edward Island Touring
Enjoy a morning walking tour, then drive by red cliffs and white beaches to Prince Edward Island National Park to visit the Green Gables Heritage Site. This evening enjoy a traditional hall style lobster dinner.
Day 10: Charlottetown – Baddeck
Cross the Northumberland Strait and proceed to Cape Breton Island, the Scotland of North America. Visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck for a rare glimpse into the extraordinary heart and mind of a world-famous inventor whose genius helped shape the modern world before arriving at your hotel on Bras d’Or Lake for 2 nights.
Day 11: Cabot Trail Touring
Experience the stunningly picturesque Cabot Trail as it winds around the rocky splendour of Cape Breton’s northern shore, ascending to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Also enjoy a whale watching cruise (weather permitting).
Day 12: Baddeck – Halifax
Today visit the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, a reconstruction depicting one fifth of the settlement of 1744 New France, before following the shore of the Bras d’Or Lake to the mainland and back to Halifax.
Day 13: Halifax departure
Your tour ends on check out from the hotel. Make your own way to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
